If you watched the NBA Draft Lottery last night you know the Cleveland Cavaliers ended up with the #1 overall pick – giving them two of the top picks in the past three years. The Cavs have drafted well and have some very good young players including Kyrie Irving, Tristan Thompson, Dion Waiters and Tyler Zeller.

The Cavs are in bad need of a small forward or a wing type of player. They have a total of four picks. My question to you is what do you do with the overall #1 draft pick this year if you’re the Cavs GM?

With a distinction like “highest rated racing franchise of the past decade,” there’s not much else that needs to be said of the anticipation for the latest entry in the series.  Forza 5 will be a launch title for the Xbox One later this year.  Check out the Announce Trailer below.

As LBJ.com contributor Xionone wrote last month, today is the day of the big Xbox press conference where we all get to see what they have in-store for their 3rd generation console, and the 8th generation of home consoles overall.

A lot of hardware details have been released, such as inclusion of a Blu-ray disc drive and further Kinect sensor integration.  Everything under the hood sounds nice, but if you want to see the whole picture first, you have to check out http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hub/reveal  at 1:00 pm ET / 10:00 am PT to catch the whole thing, or find Spike TV on your cable/satellite package.

A little back story: the Wynwood Art District has become a hotspot down here in Miami, drawing in all the cool kids who like to be dazzled by art, music and culture. On the 2nd Saturday of each month, the city hosts an ‘Art Walk’ event where people flood the streets to check out what’s new at all the art galleries and take in the scenery. It’s basically a once-a-month mini Art Basel experience.

This month on the 2nd Saturday (which was May 11th), photographer Derick G linked up with Jona Cerwinske for a special art installation in honor of ‘Bron’s fourth MVP award.

Check out this 12 year old kid by the name of Damon Harge. Youngin is already playing varsity ball and giving dudes buckets. Remember the name Damon Harge because in the year 2018 he will be a top recruit or possibly a lottery pick if they change the NBA Draft rules back.

It’s about to be a hot summer. A couple weeks ago, Kanye West tweeted out the date June 18th leaving many to speculate that the outlandish rap star would be unveiling something big. Come to find out, it’s the GOOD Music leaders sixth solo LP titled ‘Yeezus.’ The Chicago native has already liberated several racially charged tracks from the project, “New Slaves” and “Black Skinhead.”

Earlier this morning, Roc Nation representative J.Cole announced a NEW date for his sophomore set, ‘Born Sinner’ which is lead by the somber but infectious single, “Power Trip” featuring Miguel. It seems as if Cole has a new battery in his back because the new date announced is the same as Kanye’s Yeezus LP.

Many questioned why Cole made such a bold move to which he answered via Twitter that “Kanye is one of the greatest artists of this generation.” I’m assuming the move was based solely on wanting to compete with the greats and prove he TOO can be put in the same sentence as Kanye. Again, bold.

Welcome to Two! As a part of this four-part series, we won’t be covering college sports, but you can definitely apply a lot of what you’ll find below into working at your local college or university athletics department.

The League

PRO’S: If you’ve always wanted to work in sports, then working at a league (think: MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL) might be the place for you. League and team staff have the best access and resources at their disposal. Where else can you get in close and see the action? It’s important to understand that sports is a serious business. It’s definitely not all watching games and hanging out. If sports is where your heart is at, then it doesn’t get any better than working at a league.

CON’S: The league just like brands tends to be rather political and dominated by seniority so it can be hard to move up once you’re in. You’ve got to really love sports because the league can be a grind on most people. Expect to work long hours! Positions in media and marketing can be extremely low paying.

Wale took to Twitter the other day to unveil the cover art for the June 25th release of his 3rd studio project, The Gifted. What do you guys think of the “different” cover art from Wale? I dig it.

Fans of last Summer’s blockbuster comic book film The Avengers are in for a treat, as Joss Whedon, the director of the movie (and the upcoming sequel), will help develop this spin-off TV series about S.H.I.E.L.D., the espionage agency that has played a role in several of Marvel’s recent movie releases.
