Heat Fall To Pacers In ECF Game 1

HEAT 96 – PACERS 107

After a season long battle of the #1 seed and the on-going debate if the Pacers/Heat would meet once again in the Eastern Conference Finals, everybody from fans to analysts to the actual players were awarded what they wanted and the Pacers took advantage in Game 1. While LeBron and the Heat put away the Bobcats and Nets to reach the EC Finals, the Pacers had a slightly tougher time closing the books on the Hawks and the Wizards. With all that behind them, the 1st quarter opened up with a scoring barrage that would have the Heat playing catch-up the entire game. LeBron, who finished with 25 points, along with Dwayne Wade, tried to pull the Heat within reach of catching the Pacers but the defense that won the last series for them wasn’t the answer in this first game. The positive is that the last four times the Heat have gone on to lose the first game of a series, they came out and won four straight after that, and most recently, in seven against the Spurs in the 2013 NBA Finals.

LeBron and the Heat will take the court once again in Indiana on Tuesday night and look to steal a road win before returning home to Miami for Game 3.
